Deborah (she/her) was admitted to the Florida Bar in April 1997 and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and Guardian ad Litem in Florida and Georgia.
As a holder of a Juris Doctor and the mother of 2 adult daughters who both hold bachelor's degrees, she knows a little about the process of matriculating and the required funding. Deborah has a passion for the youth and has served as a Girl Scout leader for over 30 years and currently mentors hundreds of middle and high school students in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Deborah was recently appointed to the Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Gwinnett Educational Management System (GEMS) Oversight Committee. In this role, she meets annually to validate the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) standards for the district.
Deborah is a strong believer that it is possible to obtain advanced degrees with little to no debt if you start early in the process. She is eager to share what she has learned over the years with parents to empower families all over the world.

Deja Pino (she/her) is a 27-year-old news photojournalist based in Atlanta, Georgia, currently working for 11 Alive, the NBC affiliate. Her journey in journalism has taken her from Montgomery to New Orleans, capturing powerful stories and giving a voice to those in her community. Throughout her career, Deja has found deep fulfillment in connecting with people and amplifying their experiences, which has fueled her passion for community service.
From a young age, Deja was actively involved in giving back, whether through Girl Scouts, coaching a little league cheer team, or volunteering in her local community. While in college, she spent four years mentoring middle and high school students, serving as a role model and “big sister” to young girls, guiding and supporting them in their growth.
For Deja, this organization is not just a project—it’s a calling. She believes her purpose is to plant seeds of joy, laughter, and possibility in the lives of others, using her voice and platform to create lasting, positive change.

During her leisure time, she enjoys physical movement, such as dancing, cheering and exercising. My goal within this organization is to provide youth with resources they may not know exist, empowering them to reach their full potential. I aim to support their growth into successful individuals who can thrive and contribute positively to society. She is excited to be here!
